Nice It looks like you and Thrivent are a good fit based on your answers!

No matter what your situation, the best time for anyone to get life insurance is when they’re younger and healthy. The cost is less for more coverage.

  • Term Life Insurance – Is often used as a temporary solution for multiple reasons. It can be fantastic but if you wait too long to get it, it is prohibitively expensive and you may be denied coverage all together.
  • Permanent Life Insurance – Is just what it sounds like. You get it and pay for it over a period of time. Once you’ve paid for it, you own it forever. It can continue to grow in value and you have tax and other inherent benefits you can access from these policies. Which one is best for you, or in some cases both, should be reviewed by a licensed professional, as age and health play a major role in the decision.

Permanent life insurance policies have a premium paying period. Depending on the policy, you may only pay a premium for 10 or 20 years (Or somewhere in between). For other policies, you pay up to a certain age, like 65 or 85. Once you’ve reached the end of your premium paying period, you won’t owe any more money and will no longer have a monthly premium. The policy will remain in effect and its value may continue to grow.
